Three days, three posts! And they said it couldn’t be done – not by me anyway. This swinging dance gem was produced by August Darnell which won’t surprise you if you remember the video - all zoot suits and Cotton Club. The brass and drums are great and the lovely yearning vocal by Stephanie Fuller is the icing on the cake.

You little beauty. I'd been meaning to get a hold of this track for absolutely ages. Cheers Mick!
Bloody hell that was quick! You're most welcome, Kippers.
Oh aye, Speedy Gonzales, me.
Elbow Bones & The Racketeers forgotten all about them - have you got Clouds Across The Moon in the collection Mick?
A cheesy classic, Mondo. I seem to recal Davy, the slacker who hasn't posted since Wednesday, posting the video one Friday night. I didn't have it but I just downloaded this 6.44 version.
It was back here - we were playing naff space discopop blog tennis in comments. Happy days!
PS: I have updated the 'Spacer' video becasue the original has been 'removed due to terms of use violation' blah blah: I wouldn't want any of your readers to miss out on Sheila, after all.
PPS: I enjoyed that extended RAH Band rather more than is decent, I fear.
No need to be embarrassed, you're among friends.
You're on a roll!!
Meanwhile, Clouds Across The Moon...cheese....pure cheese. Goes well with some wine...
Ripe gorgonzola.
Moon made of cheese. Discopop. Wine. 3 posts, 3 days.
From a slow drip to a Niagara gush.
And I was 47 yesterday.
It's all too much.
Belated Happy Birthday, Dick. I discovered over at Kipper's place today that the No. 1 on your 18th birthday is your 'Life Song'. If my calculations are correct yours is 'Don't Stand So Close To Me'. Mine is 'Rat Trap' and Mrs Mick's is 'Total Eclipse of the Heart' which just goes to prove...something.
Davy,
RE the discopop blog tennis all that time ago: Here's the 12" version of Spacer, which you memorably (and somewhat politically incorrectly) described as being by a "French bird produced by Chic".
Coo, ta.
Happy Birthday Sir Dickie btw!
Here's a mildly interesting pop fact about A Night In New York: it spent four consecutive weeks at its peak UK chart position of #33. Which must be some kind of record, surely?
Yeah, I know. I really need to get out more!
Happy belated barfday, Dickie! I bought you some utterly useless pop trivia.
Thanks all. More from me when the cranium pounding big bass drum goes away.
