I took this picture this morning in Pirbright. The sign next to it reads: “The Gruffalo was created in order to advertise the Village Open Day and Scarecrow Festival on Saturday 12 June.” Don’t know about you but I’m impressed.Might upload a song to go with it later. What do you reckon – Pink Floyd’s Scarecrow?

No, my pick is still Gruffalo Gals because it appears to me that the young English gentlemen in your snap are do-se-doing to one another. They're not do-se-doing well, mind you, perhaps because they're in sunshine in public and dad is watching, but at least the lads are making a worthy effort.
Of course, if you want a tune that people can stand to listen to, Scarecrow People by XTC might be a better choice.
Speaking of scarred and scary, have I scarred off all your other readers and fans? Wasn't intended. I'll fade back into the corn field now.
