The June Post...

Well that attempt at rebooting the blog was bloody great, wasn’t it? I think I’ll be a little less ambitious and just try to manage more than one post a month.

Here’s a little treat for all you faithful readers who still check in every day to see if there’s anything new…

mp3: Leisure Process - Love Cascade (Dance Mix) (1982)

Gary Barnacle all keyboards, tenor saxophone, electric saxophone
Ross Middeton vocals, guitar

In case you couldn’t tell it’s a Martin Rushent production.

Hello Mick.

Thought you'd run away to live in some kibbutz near Penge.

Hope you're mighty fine.

mick is too old to run away.

hobbled off perhaps....

Good to have you back amigo with such a typical long-forgotten but wonderful track...

We have RSS feeds so we don't need to check in here daily - we can monitor your sad inactivity as you slip daily down the bloglist, finishing at the bottom labelled (implicitly) 'has not posted in a month; despite his resolutions and even though his stylus finally arrived'.

-----

I was only saying to Mrs H tonight, whilst rustling up a Davy H tomato pasta - 'I hope Mick's OK - he's gone very quiet'.

This is good!

And it's good to have you back!

See you in July x

Thank you, chaps. I am mighty fine and glad to be back.

You’d be surprised how many people drop by daily only to find I’m still in a state of ‘sad inactivity’ and I thank them for their persistence (and optimism).

Maybe I should follow JC’s example and get other people to write my posts.

Are you aware that you've been posting only as the moon approaches full?

Didn't have and don't remember ever hearing this Rushent mix of the tune before. It's basically a dub version of the song with a strong 2-4 drum track overlayed. I think I prefer the Rushent-recorded but band-produced version better. Will be happy to send it to you if you don't have it and want to hear it.

Damn! The family lycanthropy secret’s out at last and I would have gotten away with it, if it wasn't for you meddling kids. Darkdance, if the version you’re talking about is the normal 7-inch version I’ve got it, if it’s not I’d love to hear it.
