If I see an interesting looking single from the late 70s/early 80s that I’ve never heard for the right price I take a punt. That’s how I got today’s offering. I’d never heard of Scarlett Von Vollenman and Google didn’t help much. There’s a Scarlett Von Wollenmann who sang backing for Kissing the Pink and had some sort of car accident in the 90s that left her in a wheelchair who may or may not be the same person. Anyone out there know?
As for the record, I think it would have gone down well on alternative night in the clubs back in 1981. If you like Hypnotised try the b-side. It’s pretty much more of the same.

There was one other single in 1980 called 'Ventilation'/'Warm Love' other than that like you I have drawn a blank.
This is pleasant enough although I couldn't see it troubling the pockets of the discerning buyer too much back then.
There is a certain joy in just picking up records on a whim.In 1970 I pcked up 'Place of My Own' by Caravan in a junk shop in Southampton for a shilling - I still have it and it turns out it was their first ever single in 1968 and is now worth £35.
Of course if it had troubled the pockets of too many 'discerning' buyers it wouldn't be on this blog. It's actually a grower if you give it a chance.
Picking up records on a whim is still my favourite method. I'm too tight to pay inflated prices for so called collectible records.
Check out this video mega mullet and Scarlett. Mrs M says "Aye, that's the same lassie." She really does talk like that.

How on earth did you find that connection? I've been wondering if your Scarlett and the girl in Scarlet Fantastic 1987-1988 said to be called Maggie De Monde might be related. The names don't match but there is a likeness and people sometimes use aliases. Could you ask Mrs. M. for her opinion?
One thing you can always be sure of is Mrs M will have an opinion. She says "It's no her."
Aye then.
