Some V.U. White Light returned with thanks...

Nice David Bowie post today over at The Ghost Of Electricity. I often wonder what would have happened if Hunky Dory had been the huge hit it deserved to be on original release. Would we still have had Ziggy Stardust and all that followed? Maybe some things happen for a reason.

mp3: David Bowie - Queen Bitch

If you don’t already own Hunky Dory you really should. Buy it here.

Ive always been of the opinion that Hunky Dory is the best Bowie album. Varied and musical it has it all. And Queen Bitch, well, what a track.........

It’s certainly a contender, and it meant that when he hit the big time with Ziggy there was at least one brilliant album in the back catalogue. Now, if it had been a huge hit would he still have done the Ziggy thing and would it have had the same impact if it wasn’t so out of the blue? Of course, we will never know but it’s a good pub debate.

A few months back, I heard this whole LP for the first time in maybe 20 years in a record shop. It sounded incredible. Bought the CD there and then....

And given its the only Bowie album I own, I'll vote for it as his best.
